Kash Patel started out in Miami-Dade County, Florida, as a public defender in 2006. Later on, he worked as a federal public defender in the Southern District of Florida, handling a range of issues such as drug trafficking and murder. He joined the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) National Security Division in 2013 as a prosecutor. In 2014, he started working in the Counterterrorism Department.
Kash joined Devin Nunes, the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as a senior aide in 2017.
