Suresh was born in Alappuzha, a district in the state of Kerala in a literate family. His mother V. Gopalakrishnan Nair was a homemaker while his father K. Gopinathan Pillai was a public servant. He was interested in acting and the cinema from an early age. His early Malayalam film exposure gave him a kick to become one of Kerala’s greatest stars.
