When it comes to dance skills, Dance Plus is the most popular television reality show. There are currently seven seasons in all, with more to come. The show features contestants who are top-notch dancers with unique skills. Solo dancers, duos and groups compete in a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop, pop, contemporary and more. Teams of competitors are formed, and each team is coached and guided by a captain or mentor. Dance Plus 1st aired in 2015 on Star Plus. It had a run time of 60 minutes in its 1st two seasons and currently has a run time of 120 minutes. It is aired every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm IST. Asim Sen is the show’s director, and the current judges are Rahul Shetty, Punit Pathak, and Shakti Mohan, alongside Remo D’Souza. Sushant Khatri and Tushar Shetty are the current hosts. Dance Plus Judges and Super Judge

Famous choreographer Remo D’Souza is the super judge with the final say. The success of the show can be attributed to Remo’s eye for talent and knowledge about dance. 

Dance Plus gained fame because of its unique concept of mentors and captains. These mentors are in charge of training their teams and creating routines. This helps the contestants to get a complete understanding of their dance and also to experiment with their dancing skills. 

Although the mentors and captains have varied over the seasons, Remo D’Souza has been the super judge since the show’s inception. Dharmesh Yelande, Shakti Mohan, and Sumeet Nagdev served as the mentors for the first season. Punit Pathak took Sumeet’s place in season two and continues to serve as the mentor through season seven. During Dance Plus season 5, Karishma Chavan took Shakti Mohan’s place on the show. But for seasons six and seven, Shakti returns as a mentor. Rahul Shetty, Punit Pathak, and Shakti Mohan are the show’s current mentors.
